All donations received will be given to Westland District Council to add towards the project cost of the Cass Square Playground upgrade.
We aim to offset any costs to local ratepayers with the donations accrued.

Our fundraising efforts go towards improving the playground facilities for all generations in the community to enjoy and benefit from.
The playground will serve current and future ratepayers by providing ample recreational facilities for all accessibility levels, ages, and interests.
This includes outdoor gym equipment, hydration stations, shading, a bike track, benches; more than just playground equipment.
You can get tax credits for donations you make outside your pay.
Donations over $5 are tax deductible and can receive a 33% tax credit.

A plan for a dog park in Hokitika is currently underway, in addition to the Cass Square Playground Upgrade (the community is getting both).

Westland District Council has allocated $510,000 towards the playground upgrade. It has been 30 years since the last upgrade.
In addition, they have received a grant from Lotteries NZ for $500,000 to go towards the upgrade.
